Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy was born in Miami Florida on 16 April 1996. Half English and half Spanish her parents are Dennis Alan Taylor a former banker and Jennifer Marina Joy a psychologist. Her father, an native Argentine of Scottish as well as English descent is her mother. Her mother is of Spanish as well as English heritage. There are five siblings, four from her father's previous marriage. The family was in Buenos Aires until she was six then relocated to the Victoria neighborhood in London. Taylor-Joy says the move to London was traumatic and that she was unable to learn English to stay out of the risk of returning to Argentina. Her school had to change to Northlands towards Hill House. She then enrolled at Queen's Gate School, where she learned dance and participated in productions. She left at the age of 16 to go to school in order to make a career out of acting. Taylor-Joy was a child actress that knew she was going to become one. She realized her dream after Sarah Doukas, the founder of Storm Management offered her a modeling job.
